A Pregnancy Massage relieves many of the normal discomforts during pregnancy, such as backaches, a stiff neck, leg cramps, headaches, edema, and sore, swollen ankles and feet. Pregnancy Massage can be a special treat for the mother to be, giving her time to relax and rejuvenate. For many women Pregnancy massage is an absolute necessity! Lots of women have back pain and other chronic conditions while pregnant and massage can be a great tool to help mitigate some of those conditions and symptoms. We help lots of women with sciatica, disc issues, plantar faciitis, and many other conditions through their pregnancy. The massage is done comfortably bolstered between body cushions. We are very often able to find ways to bolster the woman so she can be face down for the massage. Many women say they feel like we were able to make them feel not pregnant for a few moments of bliss.
It is healthy for the mother, and for the baby. Most Doctors are recommending to all their pregnant clients to get regular massage through their pregnancy. Ben Parker gives an amazing Prenatal massage! He has twins of his own and did a great deal of massage on their mother when she was pregnant with them. As he tells people: “the best way to learn and master a new massage technique is to try it on people and get their honest feedback. And there is no more REAL feedback then your wife when she is uncomfortable and pregnant with twins.” It's funny and not so funny!
We can focus during the massage on just what ails you or we can do a complete full body relaxation session. It is always up to the client and we take our time to make sure she is completely comfortable. We have the experience and training to ensure she has a fantastic pregnancy massage. And for all you mothers, mother in laws, and husbands who are thinking of purchasing a gift certificate for that special pregnant woman in your life, we actually recommend just the hour service. All too often a woman's bladder is not going to make it a whole 90 min if they have a little one inside her pushing on it. There is nothing worse than finally getting relaxed and comfortable in a massage and then realizing that you can't make it until the end of the session because you have to pee. If she is less than 24 weeks pregnant than a 90 min is usually fine but over that and 60 is all she will want to go before the sensation to go to the bathroom will start to overpower the relaxation.
